today federal investigators will begin examining the wreckage of a small plane to figure out why it crashed in contra costa county. the single engine craft went down north of byron airport near discovery bay yesterday. searchers thought the pilot had died alone in the crash but crews examining the wreckage found a second body last night. local pilots believe the plane came from a private airstrip called funny farm airport the aircraft was an experimental plan which is registered to a company in nevada. south bay first responders work together again today to practice how they would respond to a major emergency , dealing with a mock rave party. local students and other volunteers play the role of victims. the drills resemble what happened inside the cow palace

we start with the big picture to give north bay and east bay valleys a chance to see that you have it a little better with a little drizzle maybe spotty light shower. you can see ever increasing dryness starting to develop on the san mateo bridge. dumbarton bridge still have a healthy cell heading westbound towards east palo alto, thornton avenue on the other side also mere cherry street, healthy shower. -- our best shower in mountain view, right near north shoreline beautiful, mountain view, castro street down to central expressway and 85 where the heaviest rain is now all this continues to slowly slide east southeast and it is going to stay for the better part in the south bay for the rest of the commute. in fact, it could last for a couple more hours, after, but showing a tapering trend. temperatures dress for 40s and low 50s to maybe 53° this morning. temperatures in the mid to upper 40s monterey bay and
